A total of 2 installments have been given recently regarding uppayment: (1) Fast UPI payments will become even faster! (2) Now UPI can be activated with Aadhaar in Google Pay as well.
Update No 1: Fast UPI payments will become even faster!
We give our UPI ID, The service verifies it, The Service sends us a payment request to the UPI ID generated by the UPI App, We have to rush to open the UPI app. If we find the request in it and approve it, the amount will be paid to the online service from our bank account. After this we come back to the webpage where we originally paid the amount.
This process is lengthy and if something goes wrong or there is a technical glitch, the payment may fail. As a solution, various online services also provide the facility of payment by scanning the QR code at the payment gateway. Of course in that too we have to go to another UPI app. This convenience is more useful in PC/Laptop as it is easy to scan the QR code displayed on its screen with a smartphone.
Payment through UPI is much faster than all other payment methods, An easy and secure way, although it also has a lengthy payment process, especially on merchant websites, as written above. And there is a possibility of payment failure due to mistake. Various payment companies are now looking for solutions for this.
What is the new way?
The good thing is that payment gateway companies are making this process even easier - Which will benefit merchant websites and us users as well.
The country's leading payment gateway company Razerpay has launched a feature called ``Turbo UPI'' and Paytm has launched a feature called ``UPI SDK''. Merchant websites that use ReservePay or Paytm as their payment gateway can directly integrate UPI in their payment gateway using this feature.
Now the UPI payment option that appears on various sites is not so direct. As seen at the beginning of the article, third party apps are based.
When the Turbo UPI or UPI SDK feature is activated on the merchant app Then if we make payment with its help, according to the claims of these companies, the payment process will become almost five times faster Because we don't have to go to the third party UPI app, the payment process will be completed from the original merchant app itself.
Of course, this new system has only recently been launched on both RazerPay and Paytm, so very few merchant websites have started using it. Once this facility is used on a large number of merchant apps, the UPI payment process will become easier and faster for us too!
Update No 2 : Now UPI can be activated with Aadhaar in Google Pay as well.
Till now it was mandatory for us to have a bank debit card to take advantage of the UPI system. It was mandatory for us to provide bank debit card details while connecting our bank account in bank or any other UPI app. Recently, this requirement has been relaxed and now various apps can be operated by giving Aadhaar details instead of bank debit card. Recently Google Pay has also started using Aadhaar for UPI activation. Apart from GooglePay, UPI can be activated with Aadhaar in many banks and ATMs Payment Bank, Jio Payments Bank etc.
While connecting our bank account in Google Pay we will be able to choose the option of debit card or Aadhaar. If Aadhaar option is selected then first six digits of Aadhaar number have to be given. After that, the registration process can be completed by giving Aadhaar and the OTP from the bank and we can set the UPI PIN. It has been clarified by Google that the Google Pay system does not store the user's Aadhaar number details.
